Hello!  Honestly, April 28 was a chilly day here in Virginia. Chilly enough to have chilly for dinner and use up some of those hot, hot red peppers that we grew in our garden last summer.

Tiger Lillie's Grow Along Highways

These Tiger Lilies grow in my back yard and along the highways, they add a glorious spot of orange that lasts for days and days for us to enjoy.

I used my computer to draw and paint this version of my Tiger Lilly; I painted it in a stylized manner using layers… I really prefer to draw using a stylus pen in a free hand way and paint it in a traditional manner just as if I am using a pen or pencil and painting on a canvas.

Apple

An Apple a day will keep the doctor away,” so they say”! Well, good after noon on this day of April 20.  Apples are such a great food and can be used in so many different recipes and what about eating a juicy ripe Apple just for the taste. Do you have an Apple recipe that you would like to share? I don't think there is any thing more delicious than a fried dried Apple pie umm!

Prince Peacock

Several years ago I lived in Winter Park Florida, and as I drove into town I would pass this Peacock ranch where these beautiful birds proudly display their gorgeous tails. 


 I often wondered how I could paint the beautiful designs in their tails and accomplish painting all of these amazing colors in their beautiful tail feathers...








For years I have wanted to do a painting of Prince Peacock.
