My Fishin' Buddy Card

We are having a beautiful day here in Virginia. I hope your day is beautiful too.

To day I thought I would publish one of my greeting cards.

In our neighborhood the parents of our neighborhood kids take their kids fishing in the small river that is near by.

I remember when I went fishing one time and got my line lodged up in a tree limb, this fishing card depicts how I felt then. My point is, stay away from trees when you toss that line, the fish will laugh at you! Ha,Ha.

My greeting cards can be purchased here, and it is much better than firing up the automobile and driving to the store. My cards are made of very heavy stock and they make wonderful miniature pieces of art when framed. Great card for mothers day, fathers day and other occasions. Also you may purchase a card from any painting that I show on in my Websites. http://www.etsy.com/shop/DessieFullTimeArtist

To day I have featured Heather McBloom who has an Etsy shop, you will love her Journals:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/JotAndDoodleDoo

Lemons in Lemonade

Hello!  Well, here it is Monday, March 25, 2013 here in Virginia and last night it snowed 3 inches and is still snowing and here I am thinking about Lemonade.  I know the snow will be gone by Easter Sunday and I had planed on serving Lemonade to friends, but I will go ahead and post this Lemonade painting any way...Maybe we will have hot Lemonade, Ha Ha.

My daughter shops for me and she enjoys selecting the Lemons that I paint from the produce section of our grocery store, she not only selects the best looking Lemons but I  photographed the lemons then use the photo for a reference in my painting...

When I cut the Lemons they were so juicy that I could see the juice dripping from them and I tried to capture that look in my painting. Doesn't it make your mouth water just to think about drinking a cold glass of lemonade made from these lemons. My Fine Art Prints from my lemon painting can be purchased here. So how about kicking your shoes off and relaxing for a while with me while you go to my Etsy shop; www.etsy.com/shop/DessieFullTimeArtistwww.etsy.com/shop/DessieFullTimeArtist to browse.

You may also purchase my art prints here:

Abstract in Tones of Blue, Orange and Red

Hello! I hope you are snug and warm where ever you live, we have 4 inches of snow on the ground this morning.

I love to do abstract paintings, they don't really have to make any sense, abstracts have no connection with objective or observable objects, they are aesthetically beautiful and an abstract painting can add a beautiful decorative touch to your walls.

So today I want to publish this new abstract painting, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed designing it. You can purchase it here:

Two Yellow Pears

Hello! Yesterday we had one whopper of a big snow storm, but to day the sun is shinning and the whole world look brighter, I love to watch the birds enjoying their seeds and suet  in spite of the weather.  I don't know what the Robins do when the snow is on the ground because their food is under the snow.

These yellow pears were so beautiful and juicy and ready to eat, my daughter bought them from the produce section of our grocery store. we photographed them, then ate them for our dinner. Nothing like eating the evidence, right!

So I painted the Pears to add a bit of beautiful yellow color to your home, I thought the painting would bring just the right touch of cheer to your living space and bring a smile to any ones face.

I hope you enjoyed the Yellow Pear painting, don't you think it would make a great painting for your kitchen?. The fine art print of my Two Yellow Pears can be purchased here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/DessieFullTimeArtist
