Blackie, Black and White Cat

Here in my part of the world I would like to say hello. Spring has finally sprung; the days are getting longer and warmer and nature never fails me, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming and there is always something interesting to paint.

April is my most favorite month; as I look through my window I see the fresh cool cover of green grass that needs to be mowed all ready, along with the warm yellow daffodils and some beautiful purple flowers that grow beside my patio. So I go out on my patio to soak up some warm sunshine then explore the possibilities that there could be a painting in the works.

So there is my daughters black and white cat his name is Blackie, he is sitting in an orange chair and soaking up some of the sunshine too.

It is my wish that this blog will bring artisans together and we will be able to communicate with each other as we paint with our dreams, memories, history and myths and we will search out answers to some expert tips, videos and tutorials to help us along the way.

I too, will always be seeking ways to improve on the art that I do and hope you will enjoy following me on Dessie's Eclectic Oil and Acrylic Still Life Works of Art:

  1. Dessie, I love reading your blog and getting to know you. I just started to get into it tonight, but will read more. I am very interested in how you paint without paints! Is that true? And how fortunate that you do it so well! I am 66 and as I craft I sometimes think about what kind of adjustments I might have to make as I get older. My vision is certainly not what it used to be! I am looking for recommendations for an adjustable, clear magnifying glass with a light for crafting. I see lots of ads, but don't know what to buy. They aren't cheap!

  2. Yaxchibonam, I am so happy to have you respond to me. I sent you an email. I hope you find a magnifying glas that can be of some help to you. Did you look on Ebay?
